Isabel Bezerra Balée received her MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University in 2015, and has previously taught creative writing at Tulane University. Originally from New Orleans, and with roots in Northern Brazil, she lived in Oakland for several years before moving to Philly where she currently lives. Her first book, diluvium // a bluejay, was published by Dogpark Collective in 2021. By day, she manages a small biotech design agency.
